I love Simon’s work, but I wildly disagree. Living through the eyes of empathy is possible is all facets including business. I am literally in the process of writing a full program on the concept. You should know first hand that helping others discover their “why” is the driving force to purpose. The organization needs built upon empathetic principles especially if the nature of the organization is to provide a service or product. Organizational leadership has gotten to far away from the individuals in which they serve because lack of empathy. I mean our government is so detached from what people truly desire and need that they throw money at people who don’t even know the steps to get the money. We need opportunities that cater to the “why” of people. I’m pretty disappointed in the way this was presented, but I doubt it’s you controlling it. Anyway, I hope all who read this have a great day.
