WHAT IS BIAS? - Intro for young children

This video explores the basic understanding of bias for children.

Bias is not "when we lean towards somthing or somone without any logical reasoning or thinking." It is what you immideatly described on the next slide "Bias is the way we view and understand the world based on our expirences." It is not good or bad, but can hinder judgement in favor or against anything. For example if a person was a doctor and were asked about biology it could be expected that the doctor would be inclined to explain ot in a medical way as is their bias as opposed to a layman who would describe it in simpler terms. Or if you were to ask a person which of the 4 seasons was their favorite they would have a diffrient awnser based off the region of the world they lived in and whether or not their expiriences in each season was pleasurable or not. Each person's values and belifs are biased towards their circumstances growing up and their adulthood.

If you only listen to one persons side of the story and not the others that would be biased. So for instance, if I listened to, for instance, my parents, or a friends side of the story, and not the side of other people who would have involvment, that would be being unfairly biased towards the other person, even if the other person/people is not as close to me relationship wise.
