It’s the fact that Art fully let’s go in this scene. For the past decade he’s been playing for Tashi and that’s affected his performance and his enjoyment, so he’s been getting worse. When he realizes tashi’s cheated on him, he lets go and plays for himself, and that’s when him and Patrick rekindle their connection
