Thank you so much for your videos! I've learned more from you than from calling Intuit support! We upgraded to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and have been doing testing in the system to make sure we are set up for launch. We hooked up the bank feed (very different from online) and I manually coded some transactions to see how our reports would appear. I cannot figure out how to "undo" the coding of the transactions to send them back to the bank feed to be matched/coded at a later date. Do you know if there is a way to do this? I'm in the Advanced mode for checking preferences.

API Bank feeds I was hoping this would work.

Hector, My biggest gripe is the mapping that chase bank uses when importing transactions. I use a third party software to convert CSV to QBO file as I want the Memo to be accurate. Otherwise once it categorized and added, there is no bank information imported to the actual transaction.

I notice you use the Windows edition of Quickbooks. How different are the newer editions of Quickbooks Desktop between Mac and Windows editions? (I've only used QB Desktop for Mac)

With the three users, the program needs installed on all three computers? Does the program work simultaneously with all the three users? Can the third computer be remote/ another building?

Hello @HectorGarciaCPA my QB Enterprise Manufacturing and Whosale version 2023 does not have that option in the company menu (Setup approval Processes). Is there a way to make that option show up in the menu?

Great info Hector- My problem is I have been writing "online payment" checks (I do not enter as a bill) for years and would simply go to the "bank feeds center" and either send the payments out by themselves or download new transactions and send out the online payments. After upgrading to Desktop Pro Plus 2023, I can not do that. How can I send out checks through the bank feed without creating a bill first?

Hi Hector, thank you for the video. I would like to ask though if what version of quickbooks desktop would not require logging into intuit and the bank when updating bank feeds? I am working on a client with quickbooks desktop 2021 and everytime we update the bank feeds, it requires us to log in to her intuit account the after that we are required to log in to her bank. Appreciate much if you can see and respond to my comment. Thank you

Hi Hector.
I just purchased the 2023 DESKTOP PRO yesterday, ONLY because as of May 2021, my bank feeds were disabled (I had the 2019 desktop version, but I was unaware I would not have access as of May). I installed it (went well), and assumed I would be able to just use the "refresh" button in bank feeds, but it didn't work! In your video, you addressed only 4 banks have the API feature (more banks to follow), and I am assuming this is why it is not working. Is there another way for me to import those transactions in the meantime? When I try it with the QB link, the bank states the transactions were downloaded successfully, but when I check my downloads, there is nothing to import. I just want to get through this year already! Thanks in advance for any advice you can give--and thank you for what you do--I have learned a lot from you. You are brilliant.

That payment link without an invoice is a terrible idea accounting wise, because QB doesn't count payments without invoice as income on the P&L. I constantly have to tell clients to "create an invoice" to go with a retainer, or pre-payment, so that we'll see the income. I have a client who would want to use the bluetooth payment feature, so that one I look forward to testing more. And learning about all of them. Glad they're improving desktop, it's my fav. Hector, I am having a problem with the information in the transaction pane to the right of my invoices not updating. They just remain stuck on Loading... No summary information, no recent transactions and no notes on invoices where I know I have entered notes such as reaching out to the customer seeking payment etc. I did a file rebuild, then upgraded from 2022 to desktop pro plus 2023 with no improvement. I have been unable to find anything online while searching with Google either.

So I was forced into upgrading to the 2023 version, but it seems they deleted the Timer Activities import... do you know the best way to import my payroll into quickbooks now?

What happens if we don't want to renew a subscription for desktop, do they take the file away? we just moved to qbo for our primary company, but we have two small companies that just hold assets that only have 3-5 transactions a month. Can we keep that without a subscription?
