Omg my favorite summer snack, got out in my garden and grab some fresh tomatoes and basil. Try adding cucumbers and red onion and bring to your next picnic. Best if cooled in the fridge for 20 min. Beats the heat here in FL.

I also love adding some finely diced shallots to my tomato salad.  When these soke up the balsamic vinegar it's the bomb and makes it all a bit more zingy. It's great for BBQs etc.  

And if you have some stale bread, Cut it up into pieces, drissle with olive-oil, and grill it > ad it to the salad it ads a little crunch and hey, no point throying away stale bread or feeding it to the ducks ;)  (With bread, red wine vinegar is even better than balsamic)
