20 Most Dangerous Water Slides Ever
Показать описание
Some of these slides made it into this video because of all of the horrific things that have happened there; others are on this list simply due to their scare factor and the potential danger you face when riding them. Here are 20 Most Dangerous Water Slides Ever!
#7 - The Insano
Located in Brazil, this crazy tall water slide was once considered one of the tallest in the world at 135 feet. Others have been built taller since then, but this one still has some scary qualities. It is equivalent to a 14-story building, and it is so steep that the entire ride is over in a quick five seconds. That’s a short ride for such a long line. While there might not be any recorded accidents for this water slide, either, this one will surely do some damage at some point.
#6 - The Summit Plummet
Located in Disney’s Blizzard Beach, the Summit Plummet is clearly not for those with a weak stomach. You can just see how thrilling and heart-stopping that incredible 120-foot drop is. If the sides were a smidge taller or even enclosed, this water slide might not have been included on this list. This is another one that doesn’t have any clear incident reports, but since riders say that there is a good portion of the ride where you aren’t touching the slide at all, an accident will eventually occur.
#5 - The VertiGo Slide
Located in Benidorm, Spain, this insane water slide is responsible for taking the majority of one man’s face and part of his left off which caused the pool below to run red with his blood. This ride works by having the rider stand on a platform that opens into the main drop, starting the ride. A man was seriously injured when the platform only partially opened, and gravity forced him through the hole anyways. The partially closed platform door scraped off half of his face as well as the majority of the skin on his leg on his way down. The pool at the bottom of the ride was tainted with his blood.
#4 - Shoot The Rapids
Shoot the Rapids is a water slide located at Cedar Point. You sit up to ten riders in a raft and go down a huge water slide. The most extreme accident that happened here was when a raft that was supposed to have been being dragged uphill back to the beginning of the ride started rolling backward and then flipped upside down trapping ten people, some of which were children under the water. If not for the quick thinking and help of those nearby who manually lifted and flipped the raft right side up again, those ten people may have drowned. All were taken to the hospital, and one woman was treated for some head injuries.
#3 - Verruckt
With a name that roughly translates to “crazy’ in German, Verruckt has to be one insanely dangerous ride, and it is. Located in the Kansas City Water Park, this scary water slide once decapitated a 10-year-old boy that was apparently too skinny to have been let on the ride in the first place. In August of 2016, witnesses say that they heard a loud bang and screaming, and then blood began to run out of the bottom of the slide. The slide has since been closed, and the decision is being made whether or not to keep it closed for good.
#2 - The Speed Slide
This dangerous slide once caused two young girls to sue due to internal damages done to their private parts. The famous feature of the Speed Slide was the long flat stretch that forced water in between girls’ legs. The two young girls that came forward in this lawsuit both received extensive and horrific injuries because of the force of the water. The water slide was once a part of the Knoebels Water Park in Pennsylvania, and we assume it was shut down since it is no longer listed as a thrill ride or an attraction on their website.
#1 - Sky Calibre
Action Park was once the most dangerous park in the United States. It was closed, transformed and renamed into a new park, and now it’s back to using the former name of Action Park. The Sky Calibre is the newest addition to Action Park, and although there haven’t been incidences so far, this park seems to have a way of hurting people. It was opened in the summer of 2016. We’ll just have to wait and see if this becomes Action Park’s newest deadly attraction.
