World's Tallest Water Slide | POV Video

10-year-old boy dies while riding the world's tallest water slide at the Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City, Kansas. The boy was identified as Caleb Schwab, 10, the son of Kansas Rep. Scott Schwab and his wife Michele. This video, from 2014, shows what it's like to go down the slide.

shouldnt be metal netting in the first place. should be transparent plastic. the restraints must have failed, the kid went airborne and the netting grated away his head.

The boy went airborne and got decaptiated by the net, his head got caught on the metal rails in the mesh. Shitty way to go

He was in a raft with 2 adults, sat at the front, instead of in the middle. The net and metal supports over the slide were not a suitable design given that riders could impact them at 70mph. There was no mechanism to prevent rafts going airborne.
