How To RESET XBOX ONE But Keep GAMES & Apps in 2021

Hi, this quick video shows you how to reset your Xbox One and keep your games and apps. The Xbox in the video is the All Digital version but this process will work on ALL Xbox One consoles.

BIG DISCLAIMER: If you erase the account and keep the games, you can't play them afterwords. So if you're trying to keep them to give to the xbox to a buddy or to sell it with games, they're not gonna work. I just found that out.

Since I'm getting so many replies with this. To clarify, games stay with accounts. If you log back in, you have access to all your games. If the account doesn't belong to you, once you erase the account, all the games don't work anymore.

Does it log you out of all you online games. Or does it automatically log you back in when you sign into your account? There is some online games that I play that I can’t remember the password on so if it logs me out of them then I can’t log back in.

I did this and exactly like this after watching another video but now my games won’t even start up. It says they’re on my internal and external hard drive but when I go to them it asks me if I own the game and takes me to the Microsoft store to manage the game and install but when I do there isn’t really an option to install the games it just doesn’t do anything. Any help?
