Always liked the MiG 29, and glad to see it will live on in MiG 35.
I'll confess, I once had a little metal toy MiG 29.... when I was 29! I lost it about 10 years later.

Its main design goal was a high fraction of the Su-35s capability over shorter ranges but much cheaper to operate. It is not as good as the Su-35 but is intended to be good enough for most jobs that the Su-35 would be too expensive for. It is a numbers plane to get more radar sensors on the battlefield searching for targets with more weapons on site to defeat targets when they are detected. Information the MiG-35 collects will be shared with ground and air forces to populate battle management maps so you get a better idea of where the enemy is so you can kill them.

It always interesting how no one talks about the Real features of Russian Fighter planes that make fighters from the USA pointless.. They can take off from Gravel and rocky runways, they are maintained by a team of less than 5 people, they can use bad or low quality aviation fuel, they can land on any bad surface and their engine blades are so strong they cant be taken out by a flock of bird - Everything I mentioned can cripple all American and most European Military aircraft

Ein fantastisches Flugzeug russischer Bauart, Mig eben!
Auch schon in der Vergangenheit zählen diese maschinen zu den besten der Welt, Klassiker wie die Mig 3 im wwII, Mig 15 in Vietnam, Mig 17, Mig29 usw, allesamt hervorragend in Leistung, Aerodynamic und vor allem Zuverlässigkeit und Robustheit!
Während man Startbahnen penibel für US Jets reinigen musste starteten Mig 29 von Grasbewachsenen Betonpisten! 😮 😊 ❤

Sukoi I’m afraid is the better plane. The Mig had its day during the ‘cold war’. Classic example was the Mig 21. But in the 90s to presently, it’s Sukoi who is far superior in my humble opinion.

The Mig 35 does not have thrust vectoring nozzles or AESA radar. The Mig 35 does not need thrust vectoring nozzles, but it could definitely use an AESA radar on the nose.

Its a very dangerous dogfighter as well, it can put up good fights against the F-22, although not win, but even lasting against the F-22 means you can fight almost any other aircraft
