I cannot put into words how much I love "Meant to be Yours". There is something in the melody and the voice that just makes me wanna sing it all day, even tho I can hardly pronounce english

The original Yo Girl is so good though - the mom's clueless monologue of "your situation isn't life or death!" is just so deliciously ironic!

"Lifeboat" is so heart-wrenching. "Freeze Your Brain" is so relatable. "Candy Store" and "Dead Girl Walking" are such earworms.

Veronica was still empowered in Blue though. In fact, she was confident as she managed to get away from Kurt and Ram. It also really hits on how doggish popular high school guys can be. Which is one of the flaws of high school society that JD is on about. Blue really should’ve stayed in this version.

I actually don't think I would put "Yo Girl" that low ... I think it sort of encapsulates the darkness and mysteriousness of the musical in a way.

I love that they added "I Say No", when Veronica dumps JD in the most epic way possible, stating that while she sympathises with his horrible childhood, it doesn't justify killing people, no matter how awful they were in life.

I honestly prefer the off broadway version even tho I saw the west end version in April, it’s just that the west end is better irl than listening to the sound track

A little sad that more of the original off-broadway tracks weren't used (as they are the best versions of majority of the original songs), though it makes sense.

I've always thought blue is underrated, it's such a fun song. I don't think you can mark it down for being offensive considering Martha is the only unproblematic character

Blue is better than you’re welcome in my opinion. Blue takes away Veronica’s power in a scene where her power is taken away. This is also realistic in real life potential SA. However, you’re welcome takes away all the tense atmosphere where you wonder if she’s actually in danger. It’s very toned down, and Veronicas verses make it so you don’t worry for her safety nearly as much.

Yo Girl, Meant to Be Yours and Never Shut Up Again are criminally underrated in this list. Meant to be yours should be number 1 and Yo Girl and Never Shut Up Again should definitely be above Me Inside of Me

This may be an unpopular opinion, but one of my favourite Heathers songs is Shine a Light Reprise. Alice Lee is absolutely brilliant in it, though it may not be the kindest song

i love how i say no was written with Carrie Hope Fletcher in mind. pretty sure she said she had about a week to learn it before it went into the show. i just need some appreciation for the queen herself.

i thing blue is underrated, i put it above shine a light personally. yes, its offensive, its problematic. thats the point. its not supposed to be a song against sa, but a song showcasing that these two drunk high school kids arent understanding that no is no. it comes across as uncomfortable, embarrassing, and creepy exactly the way it was meant to and i love it
