I always saw it like this; Abaddon sees Chaos as a means to end while Chaos also sees Abaddon as a pawn in their Great Game

It is obviusly the Horned Rat, his sacred number is 13 after all

What I think is best about Abaddon is that just like his gene-father was swayed and empowered by all of them, he refuses to be fully swayed by any of them. And the there's no reason for the powers of Chaos to put the great game aside and offer that kind of deal again.

I’d say probably Khorne on account of Abaddon not giving a shit about knowledge or sorcery but rather putting immense value in warfare. Khorne is the god of war and despite their rage, his daemons are master strategists and tacticians.

I think it's basically impossible for Abaddon to accept going monogod, or even apotheosis as a daemon prince.
He just sees it as more chains to be put on him, he wants to rile the imperium as a human/astartes.
If he was forced to accept apotheosis, he'd be a daemon prince of chaos undivided, and ultimately just become Be'Lakor 2.0

Since Abaddon is the Lord of Locusts I would say Nurgle.
(He would look like a nurglian version of Be'lakor)

Abbadon pledging himself to a particular Chaos God is no doubt the tiebreaker the gods needs for their great game. Remember that the four Chaos Gods each have their own CSM legion pledged to them so adding Abaddon and his Black Legion to that would be a massive power boost.
