How to Update NVIDIA Graphics Card Drivers 2024 - NVIDIA App

In this tutorial, I show you how to update NVIDIA graphics card drivers using the NVIDIA app. The app is the upgraded replacement for the GeForce Experience software. Allowing you to adjust more NVIDIA settings through the modernised app, while also providing the handy features seen in the GeForce Experience software.

One of the best features of the NVIDIA app is how easy it is to update graphics card drivers. While you can do this manually, the NVIDIA app will automatically find the newest drivers for you, rather than requiring you to enter in all of your graphics card information. Additionally, you can choose to receive notifications when a new NVIDIA graphics card driver is available. This will help you keep your drivers updated. Whereas, manually updating your graphics drivers will require you to know when a new update is released.

To update your NVIDIA graphics card you will need to select the Drivers option on the side of the NVIDIA app. Here you should see the newest available driver for your graphics card, with all the information about the driver.

To install the driver you will first need to download it. This can be done using the download button at the top. If no new updates are available then you can click the refresh button at the top to search for updates. This will check your graphics card and current drivers to see if there is anything new available.

Once you have downloaded the newest driver you will need to install it. Installing the new driver will essentially update your NVIDIA graphics card drivers to the current version.

When installing NVIDIA drivers there are two main types; game ready and studio. Game ready drivers are released more often, and typically add support to new games, while also fixing issues and providing functionality with older games. Whereas Studio drivers are seen as more stable drivers, and are typically used for creative apps.
