Make Perfect Naan at Home - Having tried several ways of making naan bread, this is the popular method I now always use. For best results, cook on a gas flame using a metal frying pan (not non-stick) or even better, a metal tava, as shown in the video.

In this 'no yeast' recipe, self-raising flour and baking powder are used.

Made these Naans twice now and got better results leaving the dough balls in the fridge overnight, I guess this allowed the dough longer to prove making the naans lighter with larger bubbles. Thanks Misty R.

I used your naan bread recipe for the first time this weekend, I made a peshwari & a garlic naan. The remaining dough is now in the freezer eagerly awaiting my next curry session. Well impressed with the results & taste.. many thanks for sharing, Karl 👌🏻

I always use a yoghurt and yeast recipe that works well for me but I'll give this one a try some day.

That's exactly how I like my naan mate. Just ordered a tawa from the site you gave (pretty decent site!) which will go down well on the top of my chiminea. Cheers Ric lad!

Thank you for posting H4ppyChris recipe, I have been trying to find about why he seemed to suddenly disappear off the scene, but with no success as of yet, do you have any idea? He also was in the process of producing a cookery book, but it has never materialised! The 'magic oil' peaked my interest. I make my Naans using just S Raisin Flour/warm milk plus salt/sugar and Kalonji seeds, perfect, all cooked on a griddle over gas flame (leave to glutinate before cooking)

what temp is the tava surface do you know? i have a g3 ferrari pizza oven and would like to try naan on it. thanks

Going to have a go at this. Would replacing the water with milk make the bread more spongy and fluffy??

Can you freeze naans once made ? I have a tandoor I’m guessing these will work in that? Loving watching the videos! Just made my first base
