Even when i travel to thailand, the local there also admits that Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, philippines, singapore we are all share the same ancestor, that is why we have most common and similar cultures. As a Singaporean, our water supply came FROM MALAYSIA.
Edit: so I’m surprised by the bloodbath in the replies so I need to clarify that our water also come from 3 other sources:
1) From the reservoir via Rainwater
2) Desalinated water from sea
3) (toilet)water that has been technologically treated till become safe to drink
However since the 3 methods above are relatively new that’s why majority of the water are still imported from Malaysia but there will be a time in a future where the contact with Malaysia will be expired so yeh 😶
