We Ranked the Top 48 Best AND Worst Countries to live in Asia for 2024, and while you know many of the popular places, like Japan, China, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand, there are debatebly 50 countries on the continent in total! Find out where to move to in Asia, and which nations have the best cities & small towns!

Asia is the LARGEST, Most diverse continent, with hundreds of unique cultures, languages, cuisines, and types of cities and scenery! In fact, over 30% of ALL land is on the continent, and 60% of ALL humans live in Asia. In contrast, Europe is around the size of the United States of America...

So if you're trying to homestead and buy cheap land, OR live in a big walkable city with plenty of amenities, or travel some of the cheapest countries, Asia has it ALL!... These nations have MANY crowded AND empty areas. So my biggest suggestion is to visit these cities, towns, and countries before you decide where you want to move to and live!

The question is: what criteria did you use to rank the whole Asia in terms of GDP? Political? Job opportunities? Educated population? Resources? Healthcare/wellness? Affordability? Nutrition?Etc. Or something else. Many of us would like to know. The reliability, validity and authentication of your data must reflect on the study gathered.

As a Japanese, I love all Asia countries ❤ Especially Singapore Thailand South Korea and Hong Kong

As a Sri Lankan, I have to say that even though it did hurt hearing the description about our country, it is completely true. Our country used to be the model country in South Asia, still is to some extent. But like in the 2020s, the country has gone down the drain. Although things have improved since the end of 2022, it's gonna take a long time to achieve the prime status we used to have. And yes, for locals, the cost of living is pretty much a pain in the neck.

Also, when we did gain independence in 1948, Sri Lanka was literally the envy of Asia, with one of the highest incomes in Asia back then. The problem wasn't really democracy, but rather the BS racism that started with the "Sinhala Only Act" of 1956 (look it up). In addition, any kind of solution that would've solved the racialism was pretty much retracted thanks to opposition from some Sinhalese Buddhists back in the 50s and onwards. Still this is seen in the country.

(Also before some of y'all judge me, I am also a Sinhala Buddhist as well)

Can’t even believe you put Thailand at 15! I’ve been to 90% of these countries and Thailand is still #1, especially to live in.

Singapore, Japan, Taiwan as well as Cyprus and south Korea proudly leading the whole Asia and they aren’t even oil rich. Malaysia is heading in the right direction and the united Arab of emirates has just wow people globally with their progress. Then as a whole Asia they have a rich heritage and resourceful green country like Thailand that is absolutely beautiful. However, because of highly political corruption which is a shameful system that pretty much has dragged down the rankings of the country achievements unnecessarily.
This goes the same for multi diversity Turkey where East meets West, or the paradise of the Philippines. Had there been less corruption, great location country such as this would have easily replaced many lesser of freedoms in human rights that is currently in top ten circles best country.

As for the rest, will just have to wait and see. At the end of the day country like china and India are the ones that play the most important economies impact within the region.

So far it just shows that the blessings of being oil rich, or a place where i2 full of gas and natural resources still coming in behind only as a second place. These country can’t yet be putting into competition with the nation who have powerful mind from talented Human Resources. Whether from Singapore, Japan, Taiwan or South Korean, theirs innovation snd model used has proved to be a good example that other countries could really learn of and apply what would be a suitable adaptive advantage for themselves.
