Little Stalingrad Now and Then: Battle of Ortona Revealed

The Battle of Ortona was fought in December 1943 between German Fallschirmjäger and Canadian troops in the small Italian town on the Adriatic coast. The fighting took place in the town itself causing widespread damage.

The town has been restored. I took many photos of Ortona on a trip there and paired them with footage and photos from during and after the battle.
