The army doesn’t follow its own it’s own doctrine best quote ever. I was in the army and the only thing I was taught was to win no matter what. As long as you win, it doesn’t matter what you do as long as you flow the rules of war. Adapt and over come. The Germans could only stick to what they knew

That was only the case at the beginning of the war. The US Navy was bigger anyway and the Air Force sometimes had better aircraft that were superior to the Me109 in speed, maneuverability and range. The Germans were only able to keep up with the Foker Wulf 190, but it was not built in as large a number as the 109. On the whole, the Wehrmacht achieved more success because the USA got involved at the end of the war, as they did in the First World War. The Wehrmacht gets the credit for the invention of the paratroopers or their perfection. On the whole, the Wehrmacht was not completely motorized. Many people always think so, but only a small part was motorized because fuel was a low resource.

Let's not ignore the obvious facts. Germany's mistake was quality over quantity, and the fact that they fought on multiple fronts. But the major mistake was bringing in the SS to fights. Wehrmacht in itself isn't innocent of war crimes either but the SS were specifically there to do tretorous shit, since wehrmacht soldiers often refused to, and I beilieve tho little evidence shows that Heinrich Himmler said that soldiers have the right to not execute an order the think is wrong, but i'm not so sure of that since the SS was asigned to frontlines too, most of the officers of the SS had wehrmacht soldiers executed, or sent into camps because they refused ordera, tho the whermacht was nearly independant from the SS and the SS officers couldn't order wehrmacht around without proper authorization or rank. But the main point is: Wehrmacht wins technologically, US wins by quantity.
