recently at my gym a gal was stuck under a bench press NOT ONE MAN went to help her and when the staff finally got the bar off her they scolded us and asked why no one helped. we all pointed to the phone mount recording her and went back to what we were doing

I'm 60 and this is nothing new. When I was in my 20s there used to be gyms for just men, but got too many complaints so they had to open up to women. Then women complained that men were being creepy, so many gyms went to the expense and trouble to put up a wall and put a second set of equipment just for women, but women could choose to work out wherever they wanted. Guess where they chose to work out? Eventually they took down the wall because nobody was ever using the women's side.

I was a long-term gym member up until 4 years ago. I witnessed an issue that wasn't an issue by some femme in tights. My friend Mike was working out, and we were conversing, yet, in between us, there was a femme who thought Mike was looking at her when suddenly, I noticed she dropped the weights and walked sternly to the front desk. Within 2 or 3 minutes, the manager went to Mike, and a discussion began. I knew something was up because I could see the anger on Mike's face. I went right to him and asked what was going on? Mike told me that the femme accused him of watching her every movement. At that point, I heard enough. I looked dead at the manager and said that Mike and I were talking, and nothing occurred. Then, this chicken-shit manager wanted us both to move to another gym area. I looked at the manager saying I am canceling my membership right now. As it turned out, we both left that gym for good.

Just sick of being falsely accused by women who only go to the gym to get even and any man is fair game. We had men only gyms and women demanded access, let they have women only gyms do its about time to get those men's only gym. Before that happens remember brothers, "Never help a woman regardless of the situation " It's just not worth it.

Equipment for home is the way to go. If you cannot afford a home gym, lift objects around the house and do other weight free exercises (eg Push ups).

He's right about good women, I had a casual conversation with a cashier in a home improvement store 2 days ago. She looked to be about 24. Her face lit up when I had a very nonchalant sentence I spoke to her. That one sentence turned into an 8 minute conversation.

You opened the eyes of an older guy. The only thing I do with my phone at the gym is listen to music during cardio. Never knew this validation crap was so rampant. How pathetic! Is there anything modern women haven’t ruined for men?

If I owned my own private gym, one rule will be that no personal recording material is allowed. Second: there are cameras all around the gym (aside from the bathroom).
Third: if there is any "creep" claim, there has to be witnesses and proof. If you can't provide solid evidence, no cause.
Forth: Both men and women are protected but if any commit the above, they will be kicked out and pay a fine. Any further disturbances and law enforcement will be called.
Fifth: If you do wanna record a workout, it has to be approved.

Considering that women do this more than they think, there WILL be accountability.

Remember, you are responsible for your own actions.

I stopped going to the gym when the owner started requiring every one wear a mask while working out and built my own in the garage and it was the best thing I have ever done. No one under foot, no more waiting for the guy to finish curling so I can use the squat rack he was on, no more scrounging for weights because some asshole is hording them all, no more sweat covered equipment, no more ear plugs I can just turn up the music and lift and so much more. I say let the gyms go under, If you pay a gym membership for more than 3 years and have a small shed or garage then it is cheaper to make your own gym.

Common refrain, "modern women angry at men" - no matter what a man does, any given woman will be angry about him doing or not doing something. Best to just leave them the hell alone and avoid them at all costs. Let the gyms go out of business. I'm just happy I have virtually no interaction with women at all, it makes life so much more peaceful.
