I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American and male. One thing I MIGHT have as a saving grace, is being 5'10", decent for an Asian male. Or, that I have strong upper arms. But, the reason why I don't approach women, is because I don't want to be FILMED, put on the internet, with she and her friends doing a big 'What in the WORLD made THIS nerd think he was capable of landing a date with ME?" Why should I want a polite, diplomatic attempt at a date, go viral.

I live at the beach in socal. I'm Caucasian, 5-11, full head of light-brown hair, good smile, green/blue eyes, 175 lbs workout every day, and overall present well. I walk around town most days and see many women in shops, on the sidewalk, out and about. Most women are completely unapproachable: earbuds in, zero eye contact, will not smile as we pass each other. I suppose this tells me straight out I'm one of the 80-90% of men that women don't even see. If I smile and simply say "hi" as we pass on the sidewalk when we're obviously going to pass inches apart, only about 1 in 5 actually smile and/or say hi in return.
