Very tragic accident. Especially with so many lives lost because of it. But a very interesting video.

I have read that modern industrial steel techniques are 100 years old.
Basically we can ( generate alot more electrical power & heat today to ) manipulate the density of steel.

Depending on density we can reuse steel up to 7 times, and can make more with less of it - today. Steel working abilities they simply didn't have in the early 20th century.

The 1 inch " thickness" of Titanic's steel, was only what they could "do" at that time.
( A inch thick, but if the density was weak... you get the point. )

Until this video I hadn't thought about the rivets holding them together.
Maybe the crude craftsmanship we find those rivets to be, by our standards. Was all they could achieve technologically in 1909. Since they could not fortify steel like we can now.

Also I love this channel! Great video!

Good video! A lot of the facts were right, but it’s just the minor details in the animation got me. The titanic also slanted to its side while sinking, and the smoke stacks collapsed as the ship broke in two. Apart from that, this video is amazing!
