This video should be mandatory viewing in schools and colleges. Excellently done.

"If you live in the past, you're depressed. If you live in the future, you're anxious. If you live in the present, you're at peace." Fuck, man. Spot on.

I'm only 40 but, I wish I could tell my younger self ...Quit being affraid of everything. If you want to talk to a girl, just do it. If you want to say something to someone, do it. Most people let fear rule their life and don't even realize it.

I applaud you for giving older people a voice! The society tends to forget them.

I love how the interviewer stopped in the middle of the video to acknowledge the conversations that were being shared and to cause us to reflect. Awesome job!

My grandmother is 92 and bed-ridden in a nursing home. I asked her what she does all day. She said she mostly thinks about the days when her kids were young. That short window of her life was the most meaningful and memorable. That was eye opening

to the lady in the white hat who said that what we need is usually in the effort we‘re avoiding out of fear or boredom or laziness - your words resonated so hard

I lost my mom suddenly to a heart attack last October. She was only 62 and healthy. No signs or symptoms, it was a day like any other. One minute I was talking to her while she was eating and drinking water on her bed. I walked into my room for a minute and when I came out she was gone. You really never know, my life has never been the same since. She was my best friend, my mom, my teammate and we loved each other deeply. I can’t explain the feeling I have now that she’s gone. Cherish the time with people you love because you really never know.

I once saw an interview with Betty Davis. The host asked her “does age bring wisdom”. She quickly snapped back “if your stupid when your young, you’ll be stupid when your old”. 😂

The older generations are the greatest untapped source of knowledge and wisdom.

I wish I remembered the source, but I came across a study surveying people in their 70s, 80s, and 90s that asked them what time of their lives they missed the most. The most common response was their 30s. They missed having people rely on them, need them. They missed having responsibility and a sense of purpose. I'm in my 30s now. The things that tend to stress me out the most are having so many responsibilities and having people relying on me.

Learning about this study helped me appreciate that the things that stress me out today may be the things I one day miss the most. Ultimately, I've learned that every stage of life has special aspects that we can enjoy, and a secret to happiness is focusing on those things that we have worked hard for and on those things we may someday miss – even if they're imperfect or cause us stress. It's a helpful practice to frequently reflect on the things we take for granted and to express gratitude for those things.

"Youth is wasted on the young." I take care of senior citizens for a living and while it doesn't pay that much, the relationships that I've made over the years are priceless to me. That generation is very lonely and have tons of wisdom to offer. It's sad how neglected and left behind it has become.

The fact that this is filmed in Westmount park, which is in one of the richest neighbourhoods in Montreal, yet none of these people (who probably live there) talked about money, wealth etc. Love that ❤️
