I get price anxiety soooo bad 😅
My first attempt a year ago when I started bakery I charged $50 for 3 layer 8 inch birthday cake custom design. But a customer emailed me after a quote and she was like wow that's so expensive, I can get a cake from Walmart for $25. I started spiraling like omg she's right they are that cheap. Maybe I am too expensive. So then i dropped to $30. Found out 50 cakes later that I was LOOSING SOO MUCH MONEY especially because of time, packaging and delivery and set up. I eventually closed down because I couldn't afford the Bakery rent. It was devastating. So glad I found your channel it's a inspiration! I'm realizing it's ok to charge what I want and not be pressured into dropping it and loosing money when the quality is still good. I'll get better that this and keep watching you for more pointers ❤️ 💙 💜

People have no right to talk about a $10 cake is so expensive after they stay paying $500 to see their favorite singer in concert …. Paying $1000 to see Beyoncé or Taylor but can’t spend $10 on a small batch small business product! Ok!

These aren't walmart, costco, or any grocery store cakes, and while those cakes may be for the budget person, they are being created by huge companies who buy ingredients by the cent, mass production. Her cakes are custom gourmet cakes, and she is a local small business, her quality and service is different then that of major corporations. Customers should understand that major corporation that control material costs are what have made it extremely hard for small businesses to be successful due to purchase costs.
