You forgot to include the cost of buying a tesla

Looks like you compare a Tesla and a V8 Mercedes that is considered a gas guzzler…
Why don‘t you compare prices between the Tesla and a normal 4-cylinder sedan?

As a Tesla owner myself, I’d say don’t buy one now. Definitely NOT worth it. If you bought it pre-2021, then it’s worth it.

My Hybrid Camry getting 37 mpg with Minnesota gas & $3.37 comes to $0.09 per mile. And cost $15, 000 used..

This lady is dump. A Toyota corolla 2022 on average gets 30 MPG. for $4.30 here in Chicago. Her Tesla gets 30 Miles for $3.2 the savings is $1.10 every 30 miles. When you factor that a Tesla is 3 times the price of Toyota corolla the Toyota is much cheaper. She should do 5th grade again.

That sounds great until you run out of battery on a long trip and have to wait over an hour to recharge compared to about 2 mins to fill up with gas

Thank you for this information. I will probably be getting a Prius now.

Gas mileage isn't the only thing you should be calculating when looking at the cost of a vehicle. There is the cost of the vehicle, insurance for the vehicle, annual property tax (if applicable in your state) for the vehicle, annual registration fees for the vehicle, fuel for the vehicle and not to forget upkeep and repairs for the vehicle. For instance, most electric vehicles have the sticker shock of replacing the battery which can run from $5, 000 upwards to $20, 000. Compare that expense to a gas vehicle replacement battery which can run from $120 to $200. That's a HUGE difference.
Also keep in mind that electric vehicles are powered by fossil fuels.

Great at saving all those emissions, then 4 videos back she tells us she flys 4 times a year spewing tons of carbon into the environment. Just another rich entitled Californian showing off their contradictory lifestyle

I get 9 cents per mile in my $4000 2007 manual Yaris, *and* it doesn't make any decisions for me.

You know African children pulled those precious metals out of the ground with their bare hands to make those batteries right. You’re totally saving the earth, also wear do those batteries go after they are too old

What you have to look forward to -- EV ROAD TAXES. How long do you think California will do with out the tax revenue from gasoline?

Efficient? I think not. Inconvenient? Absolutely.

This day and age a car which would do 60 miles per gallon should be easy to find (3 times the Mercedes!) Consider the huge difference in initial purchase cost and there you have it!

Forgot to include the time it takes when on a long drive to wait around to charge it

I guess the real deal is how many real driven miles do you get? As I've seen many videos that show that the miles are not accurate.
At the end of the day the cost of the car is so much higher that it will take you the whole lifetime of the car to make up your short term savings. A major network calculated it out to be a savings of only $0.02 per mile when accounting for the cost differential for a cheap car.

That Mercedes’ GLE is also 60k less
Why is she comparing to a Mercedes suv?
