I have struggled with forgiveness for decades. Against my parents and my ex-wife. So, I went to Church yesterday & me and my wife were talking about the message. It was about forgiveness. God has a way of getting our attention. She talked to me about my dad & I went home and wrote scriptures on forgiveness. I went to bed last night & around 3am, I woke up, couldn't sleep. I laid in bed thinking about forgiveness more than I ever have. In the past, my forgiveness was shallow, then I would feel angry & bitter all over again. I woke up this morning feeling different & I started crying like a baby, with all my anger, bitterness, resentment pouring out me through my tears. My wife held me like a baby, because she knows everything about my struggles. She kept telling me it's ok. I needed that! Im a 6'3, 250lb, black guy from westside Detroit, and in that moment, I felt like the little boy that took a giant fall. The walls of pride, anger, wrath & self fell down like Jericho's! I have a long way to go, but I took that first step of admitting I still didn't forgive those who hurt me. However, I hurt others too! So, who am I? Thanks be to God! Amen!

I don't hate them that hurt me, I just can't get over that they cared so little about me....therefor I must not mean anything to them and therefor I must mean nothing to others. The wound is open and will not heal and has manifested to all spheres of my being. Jesus please heal me and give me strength to move on, to stop letting it poison my mind. From job to family and friends, all is lost and I can't seem to crawl out.
