I’m considering building a sleeper PC, too! Now that I finally have a job, I can save up for parts, then put them into a 2001 eMachines PC. (It still has 6 months of free AOL online)

That was actually a really cool build! I just finished one with a 2001 VPR-Matrix mid tower case but I used some older hardware I pulled from an older custom build. It was an Intel Core i7-7700K with a GTX-1080 8GB GPU. The cool thing about the case was that I managed to install all the new stuff plus two additional case fans without any modifications at all. The case is in perfect condition and what's even better is that all the original components that were in the system are fully functional. It had a Celeron D 1.8 GHz processor. I can put all the original parts back into the system if I want to.

I'm considering building a sleeper gaming pc when I can afford to do so. For my sleeper gaming pc build I would personally like a mid 2000s style pc case & also for my sleeper gaming pc build I be putting Linux distro on there (more likely Garuda Linux). great build & video by the way 👍

I'd recommend drilling holes into the bottom, install 1-2 slim Fans between GPU and bottom and use higher feet. That will give you much better cooling for the GPU.
Instead of the slim fans you could use some sort of duct as well. That Mod won't affect the aesthetics.
You can use a good dual-tower cooler + a fan at the front. That togather with the warm air of the 4090 second fan gets vented through the back. That will be enough cooling and you can close the case. And please use a native 12VHPWR cable instead of the nvidia adapter. :D

Just a suggestion when benchmarking a sleeper. We already all know the performance of a certain gpu and why not check if the temperatures are good or not. Everytime someone does a sleeper build all they do is check the frames like it's not going to perform well and not check the temps. Please do temperatures not fps. Just a suggestion:)

Great build. Just missing a 90 degrees adapter for the 4090, slim fan for the bottom and maybe a couple 40mm fans exhausting at the back. Sad this case is not available in my country! :(

Are you okay? You don't need a water cooler for a new AMD processors. My 7900x at work runs beautifully on an air cooler m8. What are you smoking?

LOL you bought a motherboard with the shitty old style of install for NVME. One I got a few months ago had little plastic clips. So easy. LOL.
