I`m Japanese and this show is pretty accurate about Yakuza, which is amazing.
But there is two thing I wanna discuss, or add to this program.
Yamaguchi gumi had a huge internal feud, split in three, and now even more, causing them all to lose the power.
This event took place 5 years ago, and no one thought this could ever happen.
Another one goes for kudo kai, the one that`s notorious and not under Yamaguchi gumi.
They didn`t have any problem with Yamaguchi internal feud, but they got crushed by police.
This happened just last year, and both Yamaguchi and Kudo kai incident was a HUGE breaking news, because we thought that`s never gonna happen.
I guess our new political regime is really hawky, and I like it, atleast for now.

while the yakuza are shown to be more brutal and far deadlier, the triad's hold on global crime is vastly VASTLY larger than the yakuza's.
chinese triad squads have even targeted the video game industry, generating massive amounts of profit from in-game economies, they are everywhere

I’m from Long Beach Cali and me and my boys are part of the ABZ gang, but back in the 90’s my dad and his gang faced against the Wah Ching and them Wah Chings are tough like really tough. They killed over 42 members of the ABZ gang but we still got them back way worst. The Wah Ching is basically a Mini triad but the 14k Triads stepped in and things hit really serious. We been fighting for many years now to the point where we just stop gang banging. The casualty on both sides were 100+ deaths and 100+ injuries as well as arrest. I’d say that the Triads are far stronger than the Yakuza due to them having lack of evidence of them being all big and tough 🤷‍♂️
But uh today we still beef with the Triads and Wah Ching but obit fist to fist fight in school and outside of school, as well as some shootings. Mainly the West side ABZ and Wah Ching and triads, El Monte and San Francisco is where we beef
