There is always something new to learn in these bios videos. I would never have seen the bios button on the motherboard. My old brain only looks on IO ! Thanks Mike and Kath 🐈👍

Great video Mike, unfortunately it didn't work on my Gigabyte B650E AORUS ELITE X AX ICE. I wanted to do a all white themed build. Could never get it to boot at all. Just hanging on with that red light with the G.Skill DDR5 6400 speed memory. I spent hours trying to get this to work. I don't have other parts to test it with except my power supply on my X570 Asus build. Half the time, my fans would turn on and then off and power supply would just shut off. Even switching my power supply form the x570, it did the same thing. I tried the Q flash and I let it blink and it would not stop blinking. Finally I gave up after letting it blink for over an hour and tried it again with my usb 32 gig sandisk. The same thing, just the same speed blinking for an hour. I don't build pc's to often, like maybe every 5 years. I never used Gigabyte before and despite the negative comments in years past from my friends who have a pc business to stay away from Gigabyte, I want to give them a try. The board was white and stunning looking. It's boing back to Microcenter tomorrow. This is the first time that I had a motherboard fail on me. I haven't built to many pc's but maybe 10 or so going back to the early 2000's. Well, I finally tried Gigabyte and I will never try them again. I mostly do Asus, Asrock. Another thing about Gigabyte, It's pretty telling that they don't tell you how to use the Q Flash feature. Personally that's a sign to stay away from them in my book.

Wow I wasnt expecting the first search result to be perfect. The exact board too.

I was in a hurry first building with it and skipped the bios update (old CPU not a huge deal).

But I'm doing some work on the PC and wondering how safe this will be for a board that's already installed and functional?

I would prefer not to remove the CPU or cooler but I can probably unslot the ram and ssds if necessary. Is it worth the risk updating or should I just stick with my current version?

Do you have to flash it for it to work? Or can you flash it when windows is already installed?

I have this exact mobo, I'm stuck on DRAM light. I ordered new ram from corsair (SIMPLE was what I have) and comes today. Praying it will fix my inability to POST. If not, this is my next step. I need to do the renaming part as well, i'm guessing? Since I can't access the bios?

Hi, maybe one of you could help me. I bought this motherboard, Ryzen 5 7600 and Lexar 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz. Unfortunately, after starting it, even though the fans are working, it does not detect the image, keyboard and mouse. The DRAM LED is lit red. I tried different ram, but nothing changed. I'm waiting for the equipment to be sent back for complaints, but is it worth trying to update the BIOS yourself? If this is a problem. Maybe someone had similar components... (sorry for my English)

Does the mobo not come with preinstalled bios out of the box?

Hi Mike. This is 2024 and updating a PC BIOS should be an automated process. Like, Insert formated thumb drive into USB port marked BIOS. Open BIOS, click UPDATE BIOS, answer YES. Go to McDonald's and order dinner. Return home and the BIOS has been updated. I quess I'm living in a PC Dreamworld.
