This is so true Dr Goldner, I was shocked last week when, after 4 years of eating WFPB and staying on track, stress got to me (building work + abusive neighbour) and I overate twice in a week. Luckily the most calorie dense foods I had at home were bread, peanut butter and other nuts and beans, but I ate a lot of them and wolfed everything down without even enjoying it. It was another life lesson that luckily didn't cause too much harm, but still, I was immediately plunged into my former bingeing nightmare, which lasted for decades. But before becoming WFPB this unplanned overeating would have led to months of bingeing, literally, and putting all the weight I'd lost back on. It would have been living hell. I am so grateful that I managed to get back on track at the next meal, I didn't starve myself, I just went back to eating healthily (I had great WFPB soups and other food ready prepared in the fridge and no junk at home, which helped). I also made sure I got dressed as baggy stretchy clothes encourage overeating imo, so I put on my jeans despite my now bulging belly and tried to look good even though I felt awful. This way of eating is still work in progress but we need to learn from our mistakes and just move forward, separate feelings from feeding, be kind to ourselves and get back on track.

Your work is so important and it's a threat to powerful people's profits. I know you never go there but I think about it a lot.

I am WFBP . But I have many stessors in my life just as she mentioned . Every night, I eat a bag or half bag of chips and drink wine. My arthritis is worse and blood pressure up. I do not handle my emotions well . I have had counseling but it never really helped. I cannot afford her programs . So I need to release my anxiety. Guess I will just get a book. Money is an issure for me. Sad
