What Happens When You Find Crochet Products For Cheap In Big Stores

JUST A LITTLE REMINDER THAT
CROCHET ITEMS CAN’T BE MACHINE MADE! All crochet items are handmade so likely all the products you’ll find in big stores are not ethically made :(

When crochet is being mass produced like this for big name stores, likely theres something going on behind the scenes. These were sold for cheap, so you cant expect much to be made in return to the creator who made it.

So just a little reminder to those incase you didnt know crochet cant be made by a machine! :)

This post was only made to inform others on how CROCHET can't be machine made. I'm not oblivious to what's around me either in 5 below. A lot of people point out the argument "there's no ethical consumption under late stage capitalism" and that "theres nothing we can do anymore" which I can agree partially on. There's too many companies that you can question the ethics of but it all winds down to consumerism. It's been so normalized lately, you have to stop and think "do I really need this" the smallest change can happen with controlling impulse purchases and if you end up having items that are not ethically made or purchase things like this you don't have to bash yourself for it. I never made this to come off as an angel, considering some of the products I have in my surroundings may not be ethically made but I've made far of an effort to try and change the way I consume things around me and purchase things/what I support. And you can too, it's not impossible and would honestly help not break your bank. Consume mindfully :)
