My mother is dying from ALS...this song pretty much sums up the pain that she endures and the emotion that I am crying out from losing her.

I'm not usually a hard rock type of guy but this track is AMAZING!!

As a retired military vet, this song also reminds me of the suffering of some of our vets from PTSD and other war-related injuries as they arrive home from wars. In addition, it also reminds me of the plight of Vietnam vets coming back from the war also mentally broken due to their country not even giving them a hero's welcome and spat on by some civilians.

Don't like Metallica today, I think they are terrible people and huge sellouts, but this song is one of the most beautifully crafted pieces of metal ever made. Credit where credit is due.
