No way this is from 1988, this sounds amazing I've never heard this version before. Every version since this has sucked. I've been listening to this song since 1989 and I've never heard that subtle bass in it unless it was a bootleg.

Really nice version but it's unlike the 1988 era Metallica that I've heard back when I was 16. It sounds more like James Hetfield with Veruca Salt that was recorded back in 1995.

The bass is way too cranked. It’s nice to hear it but the original guitars are so mid-scooped and bass heavy that you have to remix them to put bass in there. And the bass is just cranked too much anyways. Still, it’s cool to hear it.
