The problem with the size of these cars is the battery and the electornics, these elements make the engine heavy, the weight of the engine makes the car heavier (not by much though) but weight increases the momentum, so in order to be safe they need heavier brakes and heavier bodywork, on top of all they don't get to the safety needed just by heavier bodyworks, in order to give the drivers cushion effect in incidents the size must be increased too. So to make the cars small and light F1 needs to get rid of hybrid system in the first place

I bet if you tell a non f1 fan to tell me the difference between the sound of a vacuum cleaner and an f1 car in 2026. With out looking, they can not tell a difference.

Forgot to mention that the car will be only a few seconds faster than F2 and according to Varstappen 7 gear would be faster than the 8 gear in monza main straight
