In 2026 Formula 1 will undergo another major overhaul. New regulations and technical changes to F1 cars are planned for that season. Although it's only 2023, you can never be too prepared for the future of the motorsport.

For example, the aerodynamics of the cars will see some interesting changes. And the cars will not run on the same fuel they used to be running on.

If F1 isn't going to give fans what they want (interesting racing, a spectacle, amazing sights and sounds), they may as well save 100% of the fuel and just run computer simulations and at the end of the season tell us which simulated team was the most fuel efficient.

I don't know why people are so against bio fuel. It's still an ICE, it still sounds awesome, you get all the rumble. At least they're not going electric.

It's quite ridiculous that they aren't just switching to hydrogen powered V8s with negligible emission and the same amazing sound. Oh wait, big oil sponsors. Never mind.

I feel F1 goes towards "everyone is the same" in the long run. I mean they try to force the racing to become like Nascar, GP2 and other lower series where they are able to follow each other for laps and hanging around close to the car ahead. Sure I get it like in the past you could count the overtakes on one hand after the race but at the same time that is the product of the fastest race cars in the world. To me it's like the finals in a tournament where the competitors are so good they counter or cancel out each others skills hence not making many goals or points as in the qualifying or previous games, if that makes sense.
Anyway I want more freedom and less equal parts and such and F1 should not be easy and "cheap".

Since these engines already have hybrid power, why don't they drop the turbocharger and increase the revs in 2026?

Green fuel to save environment but fly around the world randomly and burn a butt load of aviation fuel ? lmao

What a shame how a brilliant sport bad management can completely ruin. Lost so many old fans very sad to see

hey man come on. Clicking on this video i already know the regs arent out yet, so dont mix up "explaining the new rules" and "what we know about the new rules". As well as, it was just stefano's slightly less unhinged ideas to have active aero in a sense, but nothing about it being final.

We have now a Paddy Lowe zero fuel and it is made also for racing and it is sustainable, people who dont like engines they can watch formula e, so.bring us back real F1

I'm excited about bio fuel! There's still a lot to be discovered about it, and there's a few years left for that. For me, f1 is exciting, because of innovations like this. We all have access to stuff like buttons on our steering wheels, active suspension, better hybrid cars, KERS, and much more becuase of f1. F1 is about going forward, and innovating, as much as it is about going fast. Stop whining about how you miss V10's 😂

This is ridiculous. Bring back the V10s

It’s all very woke. The teams should get championship points for diversity and inclusion, recycled materials and the use of vegan friendly products.

2026: Woke Rules. 2030: s-AI-nz, AI-milton, AI-bon racing. 2035: F-1 ends. In its stead,
pedal powered, zero emissions (other than refried beans lunch) era begins.
