What is Star Wars Galaxies?

Here we take a look at the scope of Star Wars Galaxies, one of the most ambitious MMORPGs ever created, playing on the SWGEmu server: Empire in Flames.

I can’t believe I have never heard of this game. Its literally the Star Wars game I have always wanted to see.

I remember being a dancer was mentally exhausting.. I'd have 10 or more messages piling up asking for buffs if I was the only one there, and I'd need to keep them all up so I could do them in order received. It was neverending, but strangely rewarding for me to know I was helping other players.. They were counting on me to get the job done effectively and quickly so they could accomplish what they needed to do. It was a way for a loner type like me to really enjoy the spirit of what a MMO is. It's never been replicated. I'll have to look into this reincarnate version.

Love this video and the film clip cut-ins to illustrate your narration (especially bio-engineer and chef made me LOL.) The "borrow a disk from a friend" with R2-D2 was adorable :D With enough intellegent minds behind SWG's EMUs, I'm sure they'll revamp many of the game's features to make it more appealing to more folks, because it's def a game worth keeping alive.

In this game you could only have one character per server. So the only way to have an alt character was to have two accounts. For a crafter it was very convenient to have one character as a crafter/merchant and another one as a resource gatherer.

I have been wanting to play this game for months, have tried so many ways to install and play the game but run into so many roadblocks. I’m finally going to try and purchase the disc (but I have a laptop with no disc drive). Hopefully I can download the files from the disc. I wish this game was never shutdown it sounds incredible!
