I’ve only owned a business since 1994. In 2020- my business was destroyed by the Pandemic. It never recovered. I’ve been working entry level jobs that just make me feel invaluable. I just started the google course but found you through another channel. Now I think I’m doing it all wrong. I’m looking to get into project management. I feel I have the experience but I don’t have a degree and I’ve been a hairstylist for 31 years but have a side business for 5 years. I was about to enroll in college just for this.

I became CAPM certified back in August along with having 2 professional project management certifications through college and I've been applying to TONS of jobs and I'm on month 6 of my job hunting journey, it seems no one is trying to give me a shot. 😭

Ive been looking into PM for a while. Got a cert through a community college but looking into a university cert.

I'd like to do PM for tech/gaming but could also work for museums/ non-profit which is my current career.

Should I go for this or something else?

what if dont have any leadership exp. would become project coordinate help you? A project manager is it year around or assignment?

I am taking my CPMP as of right now, however I am wondering if I even have the necessary qualifications or experiences to take the PMP afterwards. I am currently working on my B.S. in Sustainable Business Management. My professional experience is mostly based in customer service like serving/hosting, customer representing, and brand ambassador. I also worked as an independent contracting brand ambassador for several years. As far as leadership goes, although unorthodox, I led a group of up to 100 people on a social media app for a year and am unsure if that even qualifies as leadership.

I want to become a Project Manager, I really believe in myself enough to make it work. How long will it take me to become a PMP?
