🔥 There’s one skill that separates great IT Project Managers from everyone else—project tailoring.

Most project managers get stuck trying to learn every new tool and process out there. They dive deep into theories but still struggle to deliver projects on time and within budget. It’s frustrating.

The truth is, great project managers don’t try to do it all—they focus on tailoring simple processes and tools that work best for their team and projects. That’s what creates transparency, predictability, and results.

But here’s the thing—tailoring isn’t just guessing what might work. It’s about knowing three critical components:

1) Understanding project management on a deeper level.
2) Knowing exactly what to tailor.
3) Applying it effectively in real companies with real people.

That’s why I created the Professional Development Plan for IT Project Managers—to help you master project tailoring and finally become the project manager who delivers every time, no matter the challenge.

I'm so happy I found your channel. I landed a Digital PM job and your content is absolutely perfect for getting me set up to start my new role next week. I really appreciate all of your knowledge and insights.
Thank you so much for all the hard work you did to create such a great channel! It's very informative.
Do you do one on one calls / emails for people who are just starting a new PM role and need a go-to person to ask questions to, should any come up during the first while on the job? It'd be really great to have someone like you in my corner, who I can turn to with questions.

This was great, but ESPECIALLY at the end where you teach how to LEARN more effectively. "Teach a man to fish and he'll never be hungry". Thank you for the great content

As this video shows us as a PM you don't need to know all the deep details of Software development but how can I modify my CV to land such a job when I only have "normal" PM work experience? Are certificates like ITIL the way to go to get the foot in the industry? Or what would definitely help?

But do you think getting hands on experience is very important for a novice since theory is different from practical. What do you think about volunteering and contract jobs?

What would you recommend for a software dev that wants to transition to this role? I'm currently doing some courses like the google project management specialization in coursera, and i plan to get a CAPM from PMI for now, i heard a PMP cert could also help.

Hi Sir, I've opted for Business Analytics (more data oriented) and Project management-IT. Can I work as a Business Analyst(analy-sis management role) upon completing the courses as I'll have knowledge of data and management?
