Knowing a few tips for coiling a climbing rope can really speed up the process when you're ready to head out at the end of the day. Coiling your climbing rope will make it easier to carry and it's a great way to make sure the rope stays in prime condition.

BTW, so the ends don't wander thru the loops and cause a mess, I pull both of them thru like the center, so they cannot tangle. It adds no effort to the unpacking for the next use, to pull all three cinches at once.
PS: It does not hurt to verify that you end at about the same 'true' center of your rope each time, in case a section of the rope has been stretched significantly enough to be a risk.

Tricky Editing... From 1:48 to 1:51 the coil was 'wrapped' the Opposite way. HaHa Thanks <3

What do you do with the rope once you retire it? I can use such rope for horse related purposes.

What was the length of this rope? Looks like maybe 300 feet? I'm looking for a way to quickly store a 600 footer.

Do not coil your rope like this. Using a double strand while coiling prevents feeling potential faults in the rope as opposed to coiling one strand where you can run your had along and feel everything which you can't do with two strands in your hand. This is a cheap way to end up with an easy finish. Don't be stupid and lazy all at the same time; don't coil your rope like this. I challenge you to find even one pro who does this.
