Looks good to me. I have not yet embraced the piling of rope into buckets. Guess I need to try that more to see if it makes or just stick with these coils.

I still coil it in one hand if it's a short piece most of the time. Long pieces though, it really makes a big difference. I usually finish them off as a "gasket coil" anymore, or just tie a constrictor around the middle if I'm in a hurry.

That's how us sailors do it, to avoid twisting. We call it "flaking". The reason is that winding it around in a circle puts a 180° twist in each turn and it comes apart again with massive twisting.

Keep that first rope end a little longer, say, 8-10 inches and it shouldn't get tangled inside your coils and create knots in the rope...😮.
