I have LinkedIn premium so I'm able to message them directly without having to connect with then first, so should I still request to connect with them first before messaging them about the role?

According to the template, it says that the job searcher would love to set up a time to chat. What specifically would the "chat" be about? Are you refering to the job interview its self. Or would this be an informal talk about the company and what the job entails?
