In most of these, only 1 of the 2 mag tubes is loaded, and some have 14 in a 7 round tube, and the left tube seems to be the more popular one.

There is really no game that does this gun justice. Almost every game oversimplifies it to 14 rounds, while the KSG is a dual-tube magazine affair, 7+7. In order to shoot the full 14, you have to switch tubes after the first 7. In theory this would allow you to load one tube with slugs and one with shot and switch on the fly.

Understandably the dual-tube setup is much more complicated and requires far more work to simulate in a game. Animations, separate ammo counts and so forth. It's too complex for most of the casual games it appears in. However, I would rather see the gun's unique design come to the fore more than "this thing has a really high total magazine count but we don't understand how".

My personal favorite rendition is MrBrightside's mod for Insurgency.
