I believe she was sexually abused in ukraine, and sexually abused with the familys that were trying to get rid of her prior to her being adopted by the barnetts. Which explains her fast pubescent development, and was probably given hormones to treat her dwarfism. She was a child who went through years and years of physiological, sexual, and physical abuse.

the docu-series shows how crappy the adoptive "parents" were and the living situation. of course in a situation where you're repeatedly abandoned and mistreated kids will develop odd behavior. but early puberty happens so Michael and Kristine Barnett flip out and act like psychopaths. They are certainly awful people. This story isn't fully resolved. We'll see Michael and Kristine in orange jumpsuits soon, one hopes.

I believe she was a child. Facially in the 10 years she was in America, she progressed consistently. A person going from 22 to 33 would not change as much as a child growing into a teenager.

this is how the court does work and I get it. However...it made me realize that when you meet someone who is odd, or makes uncomfortable sexual gestures for her age, or who confuses you....usually you just look to what that child has dealt with earlier. I think Natalia was molested and abused horribly, and never got the justice she sorely deserved. It made me realize I need to treat everyone kindly, and question everything. I hope Natalia Grace is okay today and knows that the world supports her. Hope we all learn from this.

This is bs, the judge should be held accountable for aging her with no concrete proff. But once again, a judge protects another judge and I'm sure they want this story to go away, its not a good look for them. That child suffered unspeakable trama that she's only now able to face and you wont allow evidence because its 5 years old? You're telling me that she needed to bring this to court at 11 years old to be heard, yet in the mean time she was living all alone where no one wanted her around...this is sick, shame on you. Citizens of Lafayette needed to rectify their justice system, if not for an abused child, then for who. Her name has been run through the mud, justice is the least she is owed by the people who claim to work for justice.

Holy buckets- they left a child in an apartment all by herself. I think that they wanted to get rid of her but didn't want to be looked at like the bad people ( that they were!) So they had to have a good story
