Stephanie Harlowe did an excellent deep dive into this case. MANY drs, including endocrinologists, dentists, and surgeons who examined her bones during surgery, confirmed to these parents that Natalia was a child and the age on her birth certificate. The parents lied to a slip -shod judge to get her age changed so they could abandon her as a disabled child anx move to Canada for their genius son.

Natalia has dwarfism.
It's been confirmed that the adoption parents lied.
Natalia was a child.
They found her birth mother which they confirmed with DNA, and the help of Dr. Phil.
They left an 8 yo alone for a year.
Thank God a loving black family found her, and took her in. They've never had any problems with her, nor seen any of the behavioural issues the Barnetts allegedly saw, and it's been quite a few years now.

But it was a mixed family who took her in.
However since a minority in here, seem to have a problem with the fact that I wrote, “a nice black family”, I thought it was best to correct myself, before anyone else out there, gets hurt too badly)

Being angered over someone mentioning, that it was a nice black family, seems very petty and jealous to me.
Skin colour in itself doesn’t matter, but the culture behind it just might.
And this lovely mixed family (which I mistakenly said was black), has a background that makes them quite perfect to take in a child like Natalia, and I actually believe they understand a lot more, where she’s coming from, than the Barnetts could ever come close to, which is based a lot, on the culture they come from.

Embracing a culture is not racism. You people need a life, if this is your biggest worry throughout the day.

She was a child. The Adoptive parents did some pretty dispicable things to her. I think all the overtly sexual things occurred when she had already entered puberty. They made a point of being deliberately deceptive about her age when it came to the timing of certain events. I do think Natalia was mistreated, and the legal system wronged her. The son said she was kicked down the stairs...and she was definitely a minor when they tossed her into the first apartment. The adoptive parents are guilty of a lot and got away with it all.

The adoptive mom is a sociopath and the adoptive dad is a lunatic. I said when I first saw this case come to light that she was in fact a child. I think the 2 parents should have to pay her a restitution on top of criminal punishment for the mental harm they caused this then 6 year old child!

She was born in 2003... they did a DNA test to confirm her biological Mom and the Mom, who was told her baby was going to die and made to leave the hospital without her baby, confirmed her birthdate.
