It's a fairly straightforward process once you get the hang of it!

Informative stuff. It does work well. I started recently simply swapping or rather copying the entire memory card back and forth between PCSX2 and AetherSX2. So I am always up to date whenever I move from mobile and pc. You can simply copy the memory card file from the memory card folder from and into each emulators. You need to know the directory where to find them off course but once you do it is a doddle. Just like the old days of swapping memory cards from the original PS2.

I had previously unlocked every single thing on my SoulCalibur 3 save on my actual PS2. However, a corruption to my save file meant I had to start over from the beginning. I was livid, but I recently got into emulating PS2 games and your tutorial has saved me many hours of misery. SC3 is not an easy game to unlock everything in, at least not for me. Thank you so much!!!

I appreciate the guides you do as they are quick and to the point, with no added fluff to bolster the run time of the video. As to what save games I'll import, well it's going to have to be saves for Ultimate Alliance and Ultimate Alliance 2 that have all the characters unlocked. I'm too used to playing the games on my Xbox 360 where I already have them all.

I Recently got an Odin 2 Pro but already had saves on my PC that I forgot about until after I had already started a new memory card on the Odin. This was a very helpful video to demonstrate that I could export individual saves from two different memory cards and merge them into one. Thanks so much!

I'm using AetherSX2 and it's very optimized.
It runs PS2 games in 57fps and 102%speed in my snapdragon 665 phone with underclock. I love it!

Excellent video. My PS3 died tonight after I was 25 hours into my first playthrough of Star Ocean 3 in 18 years. I was so ticked off. Fortunately, in the course of the last few hours, I've managed to get PCSX2 installed, get my PS4 controller connected (had trouble with the PS3 controller), convert my (thankfully) backed-up saves from .psv to .psu, and get the save imported into the PCSX2 mem card. We're in business, boys!

Excellent video!

I'm new to PCSX2 and I'm using it on my Steam Deck. At first, I was upset about the fact that the emulator itself couldn't read the .psu files directly, but now I understand that the emulator creates "Memory Card" files, so the mymc program is required to insert the PS2 backup saves into the PCSX2's Memory Card file.

I used this method to transfer the Final Fantasy XII saves from my PS2 to my Steam Deck's PCSX2 and it worked like a charm! Thank you.

Thank so much! This is exactly what I needed to import a fully unlocked save file for The Simpsons Road Rage into PCSX2.
One thing I want to point out is that this method only works with the Stable Release of PCSX2 and not the Nightly Release so make sure you have the correct version of PCSX2 installed!
