How to Import Saves in PCSX2 (PS2 Emulator) Quick and Easy Guide

A quick video on how to install save files into PCSX2 (PS2 emulator) for the PC. In the guide we go over the basics and also offer a solution to the most common problem when doing this installation of files.

First off all if you have been using PCSX2 and have your own saves installed on the memory card already and don't wish to lose those then its best to access the card via the option menu and then EJECT that card and rename it to something else. Then install/create a new and use that for the formatting method shown in the video.

The files you will need IF MYMC wont open should be MSVCR71.DLL and MSVCP71.DLL once you have those put them in the same folder as your emulator.

TYTY for the guide, Worked Perfectly. Missed a Picture in Darkcloud 2 and needed to load it in via a DL'ed save, did the thing and got it in my game and now I'm not going to miss out on some good items :D Also take my upvote.

Great guide, and lead me to finding this program. I was trying to play Castlevania Curse of Darkness on Crazy Mode, but I didn't wanna go through a normal run (I've beat the game loads of times already and just wanted a challenge).

Is there any way to separate the save files from the memcard files? Also if there is, can i transfer them on my ps2 console using OPL?

when I try to import it says save file format not recognized but the program "opens" just fine. how does that even make sense?

Hi (2024). Daddy in my case, I want to export a ready-made memory card that I am using, so that later, when the PPssPP is reinstalled, I can add this card to the list of cards. I already did this with a card I downloaded but I don't remember the step by step. Do I also need to install mymc in this case? Does its not just copy and paste, and acess the psp's internal settings to add a new card from the directory?

Once you've imported the file is there an extra step to save it to the card, it shows up in the mymc program but when I go to play the game it cannot find the save.

What if I don't want to download saves but rather use my own?

I already a have PCSX2 and MyMC set up and running, I've got a PS2 memory card and the USB memory card adapter for PS3. How do I go about uploading my PS2 save file to PC so I can convert and import it to PCSX2?

hey man, i've followed the tutorial step by step, but there seems to be a problem. first of all, the once i booted mymc, it worked instantly so i didn't have to install the other files. secondly, i tried importing a save file inside the second memory card slot (which i formatted) but when i try to run the game, i get a message that says that there are no save files in my second memory card. can you please help me solve this? thanks

What if I want to import my real save file from PS2, do I have to convert them into .PSU or any other format? Is that possible?

yep i totally needed both files, thanks man it actually gave me both errors file needed and then it after the first file it opened and closed and after the second it worked, i just really wanted to plkay sonic riders ZG whit everything unlocked (as i unlocked everything but super sonic, bily/the samba monkey and some of the more bs expensive boards, but i did complete like all the story got some of the expensive boards and did like half of the story trial missions which ngl they were boring and no fuckign way i will x rank em all for super sonic.

PLEASE REPLY the exe file does not run it says error please help me it also says the code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR71.dll was not found reinstalling the program may fix this problem
