5 EASY Instant Pot Soups - Perfect for Beginners

Alright! It is September so that means it is officially soup season! These 5 Instant Pot Soups are super easy and perfect if you are just starting off using your Instant Pot.

The more I use my Instant Pot, the more I truly do love it! I couldn’t live without my Instant Pot at this point – it saves me so much effort with preparing quick meals and side dishes!

You can use your Instant Pot as a pressure cooker, steamer, hot plate, skillet or rice cooker. I love to sauté veggies, brown meat AND make yogurt in an Instant Pot. I use the sauté and pressure cook functions the most.

Just remember when using the Instant Pot, it takes 10-20 minutes to pressurize!

If you are cooking for 1-2 people I would suggest the 3 Quart. If you are cooking for more, I would suggest the 6 quart!

Black bean soup yesterday just onion, garlic, dry beans, broth and cumin. 34 minutes high pressure and slow release, blend in a blender done. Chopped onions and sour cream a bit of cheese to finish and done. Very tasty.

Made the sweet potato soup today but I used vegan stock and then emulsified the soup when it was done. As you did at the end I added some almond milk but had blended it with 1/4 cup cashews so it would be creamy. Then I  threw in a can each of drained corn, green beans and black beans. Thanks for the great base!! Wouldn't have thought of it on my own.

Well Kristen, It was fantastic. Really delicious using the printed recipe. We were able to have dinner, give my daughter a container to take

Made the Minestrone today - delicious. I didn't have zucchini so used corn. My pasta was a bit overdone - next time I'll do less natural release time. The flavor was fantastic.

Costco carries a chicken and beef bullion in a jar (not your typical cubed type). It is fabulous and much cheaper than buying the pre-mixed boxed broth

I love using that chop stir thingy in my Instant Pot. To hot for soup in Oklahoma now. But I'm definitely going to try all them recipes!

Love soup! Thanks Kristen, these are wonderful, easy and inspiring. For those who don’t like canned foods, use fresh, frozen or dry or just rinse the beans, eliminate the salt. It’s not hard to make an adjustment... :). I hope you were able to freeze some of those soups Kristen!
