This is very helpful. My husband who has lymphedema, was traveling and could not take his compression device on the airplane, due to 'security issues'.. Hence, he now has a swollen leg. Thanks a bunch, airline industry. Bloody stupid. Anyway, he is back on the machine, and resting up, elevating the leg, and today he will have an ultrasound at the VA Hospital here in NYC, to exclude the possibility of a blood clot. Since it is only his right leg they are thinking it is likely NOT.
