Discrete Mathematics is already shaking my brain cells. But thanks for the recommendation. We hope to see more informative content from you.

V K. Balakrishnan also has a
Schaum's Outline on Combinatorics that one can use for self study.

Hey, I've got this book and I love it ! Dover editions FTW! It doesn't go in depth but this should be expected since it covers many themes of discrete math and it's not many pages long. I'm happy you did a review, thanks !

You know the author of of the dover book 'Essential calculus with applications' Richard Silverman wrote another calculus book named 'Modern Calculus and Analytic Geometry' (also a dover book). It is said to be proof based and just as rigorous as Spivak, but unlike spivak it covers analytic geometry and more topics (almost 1200 pages)You should check it out!
Also Daniel Vellerman author of 'How to Prove It' wrote a calculus book 'Calculus: A Rigorous First Course' which is rigorous but also readable. It also seems to be a dover book. Both have solutions and answers to the odd numbers excersises. Since they are dover books, the books should be pretty cheap.

Own this one! Love it! Its a good complement to the book of proof.

Hey, I have taught this kind of stuff 25 years ago! (As a TA, so I didn't write the lectures nor even the exercises sheets). IIRC, the reference textbook was Concrete Maths by Knuth & al.

Hey math sorcerer, i'm looking for advice. I'm debating if i should do a double major in math and cs. I was planning to major in math, i started in high school to read books on various subjects especially on abstract algebra and topology and fall in love with math, but I also have a good background in programming and cs, I was in the best programming and cybersecurity programs in my country and was supposed to enroll to the military to a cyber unit after high school, but decided to go to university instead. I'm torn because I don't really have a direction and will probably end up at a CS job, so I'm leaning towards a double major or even just a CS degree, but math is what I want to learn, and I truly feel passionate about it. What are the cons and pros of a double major in math and cs, and do you think I should go and learn what I love or think more about my future?

There are several good books on mathematics by Indian authors that are only available locally in India. What I like about these books are that they are quite to the point and with a lot of exercises. But some people may miss the larger picture. But being to the point helps one to get started quickly and advance.

is this for complete beginners? im in high school and want to learn some of this stuff early, but the writing seems too hard for me to understand

I'm a person that has zero math knowledge. Would you recommand an algebra book?

How did I end up having this book before it was recommended by you? 😮😂

Oh yes, one of the reasons I decided to go into physics and not math! 😅

Is the prerequisite for this just algebra?
