Hi I was just wondering @ 12:58 why do we need to distribute 5 so that its 14=5x +5. just wondering how do we know what number to distribute other than that thanks for the vid! much appreciated

I use the Proportion method quite often in finding scaling factors. Using the x miles in 7 hrs. example, am I wrong in shortening it to 7 x 30 / 2 = 105?
