1. Know what you are talking about: because I have done these things in my last job, here is what I can do these things in this job
2. Persuasion and influence: build rapport with them by showing them you understand what they need (pains, troubles, problems)
3. Framing: don't simply say you did this before, but give details on the situation (how terrible if you don't solve the problem), lead into the actions (how everything worked out and how you saved the day), make them connected to the story
4. Make sure you have extra story to share: look back at your experiences and create stories of how you solve the problem as a leader (through communication, team-building, technical expertise, mentoring...), make sure you have stories for common interview questions, write them on paper
5. Visualizing yourself in this role: approach this interview like you already have the job, imagine yourself having a conversation with the hiring manager and answer questions (give perfect answers), see yourself being a solution to their problems
