I will try to have the attitude that “anyways I’m gonna get this job so let’s have a friendly conversation with my team” . This helps me to be relaxed in interview.

Best advice: I’m just going to have a fun conversation with someone about the things I love to do and am good at!!! 🙏🏼

I am so mad to whoever invented interviews lol. I am an introvert who doesn't like to talk much. I had an interview today, but I felt so much confident after watching this. Don't know the results yet, but I don't care. I am just so glad that I think I did great in the interview. Thanks Cassandra!

-Cassandra, too!

Also, it's my first time leaving a comment ever since I have first created this account (more than 10 yrs now lols)

My phone interview is in 12 minutes and this video is about 10 minutes. Procrastination for the win

Update: I ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED IT like this new personality took over and they’re really excited about me. Looks like I might start work on Monday 🎉

An hour before my interview I realized I was freaking out all of a sudden. I was trying to rehearse, but my nerves made it impossible to answer anything. I stumbled upon this video and used the first technique to eliminate that anxiety. I focused on the one question like It was the only question they would ask me. I crushed the interview and was offered the job the next day! Thank you Cass. 😊

I was all prepared until I went into the Zoom meeting and found out it was a panel meeting with other candidates who were better qualified or better at BSing. Damn.

My dad always tells me to just go into an interview already assuming that you have the job. Give them confidence, showoff a little even (but don't be unbearable or obnoxious about it). Make it hard for them to say no. Tell them you're excited to work here and look forward to your first shift, things like that. It's worked for me so far, and I know it's worked for him too. I feel like getting into that mindset helps a lot with anxiety too, just being absolutely sure that everything will work out in your favor. Like, "I've already got the job, I have nothing to worry about." Some might call it toxic positivity but I mean as long as it gets you through the day that's what matters, right? Anything that helps in these scenarios is generally worth doing.

I did rush my answers in an interview, i did not get the job, the interviewer had to say to me "feel free to stop talking when u feel you have answered the question" oh lord lol

my interview is in 15 minutes and i’m shaking so hard 😭

update: i did it! this seems obvious but if you can’t calm down before an interview just read what kind of questions they might ask beforehand and prepare some answers. when they ask questions you’re already familiar with you’ll feel a lot more at ease :)

I have failed so many interview in my life and has been my biggest issues of my life. I have never answer any interview question calmly and precisely. The major issues is, I often get mixed up with too many feelings in my head. This is the finest tips for the person like me who often gets nerve wreck at any interview. I will definitely apply those tips in my next interview. Thank you very much

what helps me calm the hell down is thinking about the good in the current job, this takes away the pressure of needing to get the new job. And "its just a conversation" truly, thats all it is.

I'm back here over a year later after I got the job I wanted and am now applying to more higher level jobs. So helpful. I love your authenticity and humble energy. You are confident, not arrogant

My job interview comes in the next 2 days.

Can help me to calm down and not get scared while being interviewed and not freak out while speaking like stuttering or stuffs. I might lose and forget what I wanna say bcs of nervousness and being too scared. It's my first interview. Never even had any work experience before or interview experience before. This is all new to me. So I'm having a lot of anxiety and fear.

the 3rd one is brilliant! I actually did it at my first job interview as a fresh graduate, thinking that every interview will only help me understand better about job interviews. It really calmed me down because I treated it like my learning point, and it landed me the job! great tip as always cass!

I had used the second technique unknowingly 2 yrs back. I just attended the interview without thinking much, and guess what, I heard back within 1 day that I am through to the next level. I finally got the job.
